Agitamos el lulav 18 veces, 3 veces a las 4 direcciones laterales, 3 arriba y 3 abajo. Así la Torá permite al rey desposar a 18 mujeres, no más.

We shake the lulav 18 times, 3 to each of the 4 lateral directions, 3 up and 3 down. So the Torah allows a king to marry 18 wives, no more.
